Daddy made it home in time to go to the fish fry with us. The kids decided they had to wear their bunny ears on the walk over to the fry. Veronica hopped at least a half a block!
Somebunnies Special
The layout of the fish fry was a little different this year.... Dessert was the first thing in the cafeteria line. Veronica needed the cake with the "sparkles" while Thomas needed a similar piece with "sprinknels." Thomas did a good job trying his fish nuggets and devouring his beans and macaroni. Veronica, on the other hand, was too preoccupied with the sparkle cake to talk to Fr. Bob - forget dinner!
They were wired (from sugar?) on the walk home. They ran up and down the ramps at church and played with every locked door. Veronica stopped at the church entrance and said, "That's my church. We go there another day." They found a bush to explore together. The sides of the church have coves with "windows" that they like a lot. They saw the first one and one said to the other, "The Statehouse! Let's go to the Statehouse!" They played there for quite a while until we were able to entice them away with the idea that there was another on the other side of the building. This one they needed Daddy to join them in...
On the way home, they found a utility pole that was apparently perfect to play ring-around-the-rosie with...
