He has been obsessed with words lately: how they are spelled, how they sound. A couple weeks ago, I caught him explaining something to Judson’s mom that she couldn’t hear. I can’t remember the exact word, but it was similar to this:
Mama: A cap?
Thomas: No, cart.
Mama: A cat?
Thomas: A cart, with an ‘r’.
Yes, he read the first 51 of the 64 pages of Go, Dog. Go! to Veronica and myself tonight. He only needed help about 10% of the time.
A third of the way through, he asked what exclamation points were for. After that, he read it with quite a bit of expression.
