We trekked up to Carmel High School today to Touch A Truck... that's not just one truck, and not just trucks. It's a whole parking lot full of emergency vehicles, golf carts, mail trucks, construction vehicles, etc.
The bright, shiny mecca that beckoned us first was the school bus. With all these exciting vehicles come lots of other spectators, long lines, and lots of chatter. This did not deter us (at first). We had a delightful driver and a pleasant passenger.
It did not take long for the lines, the people, and the noise - yes, add sirens and horns to all that chatter - to lead Veronica to the conclusion that she didn't want her hands to touch any trucks, nor her feet the ground. She only wanted to touch Mommy.
Thomas enjoyed the rest of the experience in a police car, fire engine, ATV, and a mail truck.
Veronica recovered quickly with some juice at lunch.
