Fatherly Love

My incredibly loving Heavenly Father has given me the gift of sharing my life with an amazing man - my husband. Under the umbrella of husband, Judson wears many hats - all which he wears diligently and lovingly. These include: best friend, provider, strong shoulder, teacher, role model, and father.

Judson has been an incredible father since before we were ever pregnant. He journeyed directly by my side in the fear of infertility and all the bumps and bruises that go with it. Once pregnant, he cared for his family in ways some men never would and most men would never have to. He carted me to the hospital to make sure myself and each set of twins were hydrated after incredible bouts of sickness. He spent over 100 nights in the hospital, sleeping on a chair - so that I would not be as scared or alone. He tried never to leave for work until after he had heard the babies' heartbeats every day. He held his dying and dead infants and then put on a brave face to care for their physically and emotionally weak mother. He was brave enough and loving enough to want to try to give Julianne and David a sibling - to try again. Through all this he still loves his departed children and says good night to them every night as well.

He checks on Veronica and Thomas every night, after they are asleep. He takes them on outings all by himself - regularly. He makes them laugh, he wipes their tears, he plays and is creative with them. He thinks to teach them things that I would have never dreamed they were ready for - and succeeds! He values family time.

I know God is awesome - to make such an incredible father in his image.
