...and tried to re-invent the wheel.

Thomas truly enjoyed holding a baby chick. Veronica did not want to hold it, but encouraged Thomas by petting it.

We groomed a calf...

...and helped make candles.

We caught up with the wagon train of twins...

...and peered into life in the 1800s.

We ended a long, hot, day of learning with milkshakes all around... before most of us fell asleep in the car.
