Today we were playing at Robert's house. There was a little toy (probably from a Happy Meal) that was a 3 inch tall boy. He has a removable mask. Thomas is drawn to this toy. Today he asked me what the boy's name was. I started naming boys names. After each suggestion he would say, "No." Finally he pondered for a minute and said, "Jimmy." So, of course we got permission (Thanks, Robert!) to take Jimmy home.
Veronica watched all of this and then asked me what her baby's name was. I just turned the question over to her (learning from the session with Thomas). She thought for a moment and told me, "Amy."
We carried Jimmy and Amy to the car, getting frustrated each time Jimmy's mask popped off. Finally, they both insisted on taking their naps with their new friends. At least we compromised that no one sleeps in masks. Whew!
