Thomas's normal response, "Sissy."
Then Thomas pulled up the tail of Judson's shirt to check... "Daddy stink." It seemed definite the way he said it, but we were all questioning the stink, so I asked, "Thomas is that a comment or..." Before I could finish, Thomas interjected, "A question."
After a family nap, we all piled in the car for a trip to Clayton for the our friend's annual Christmas party. The twins were pretty excited that there would be a Christmas tree and lights in the house (as they hadn't seen that anywhere yet). When we arrived to all the glory of Christmas, they were sucked in... not needing the cuddling and protection they often do when they first arrive somewhere. They buddied up right away with Isaac (4) and Chloe (3)... and all the toys. We had a fabulous dinner including venison meatballs and the kids had their own table.
Presents were then opened and Thomas and Veronica acted like they'd done it for years! They got some really nice gifts... including lemons from Deanna. (See Food Fun, 12/1/08)

Then, it was on to the annual game of bingo... a twist on the normal white elephant exchange. The men didn't participate, but the kids sure did!

Without knowing, time had slipped to 10:30!! None of the kids were cranky or anything... just party animals! So we jammied everyone up and took a final picture. Thomas fell asleep quickly in the car, but Veronica waited until we were home... at almost midnight! Party on!
